Informational content, not professional advice
TheBindBrief publishes reporting and reference material on the business of independent P&C insurance agencies: valuations, deals, carrier appetite, and technology. It is general information, not legal, financial, tax, accounting, investment, or insurance advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or perpetuate an agency, place a risk, or choose a vendor. The calculators under Tools do arithmetic on the numbers you enter; they do not value your agency or advise a deal structure. Before acting on anything you read here, work with your own attorney, CPA, M&A advisor, or carrier representative.
Accuracy
We hold ourselves to the sourcing and fact-check standards published on our standards page, and every piece carries its date. Multiples move, deal activity shifts, carrier appetite changes quarter to quarter, and a figure that was right when published can be stale when you read it. Check the cited source, and the date, before you rely on a number for a real decision. Errors we confirm are handled under our corrections policy.
No warranties
The site and its content are provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheBindBrief and its editor are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content, including business, deal, or coverage decisions made on the basis of anything published here. If you are dissatisfied with the site, your remedy is to stop using it.

You may read, print, and share pages for personal or internal business use, and you are welcome to quote or cite our work with attribution and a link to the specific page. Republishing full articles or issues, or systematically copying the site, requires written permission from the editor. Third-party reports and data we cite belong to their publishers.

Articles and source blocks link to carriers, advisory firms, data providers, and other outside sites. Those sites have their own terms and policies; we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability. A link is a citation, not an endorsement.

This site shows display advertising served by Google AdSense, labeled "Advertisement." Issue sponsorship is a separate layer, labeled "Presented by" and governed by our editorial standards.
