What this site collects, what runs on it, and the choices you have.

What we collect
- Form submissions. The subscribe, contact, and sponsor forms collect what you type into them: name, email address, and your message. Submissions are captured and stored by Netlify, our hosting provider, and used to send the newsletter you asked for or to respond to you. We do not sell or rent subscriber information.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to understand readership in aggregate: which pages are read, for how long, from what kind of device.
- No accounts. The site has no login and collects nothing beyond the above.
Advertising
This site shows display advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this site and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve personalized ads where permitted.

Every display ad on this site is labeled "Advertisement." Display advertising is separate from issue sponsorship, which is labeled "Presented by" and governed by our editorial standards.
Consent by region
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising and analytics storage default to denied. Elsewhere, the defaults follow the opt-out model described above.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue, or by writing to the editor.
- Ask what we hold about your email address, or ask for its deletion, at editor@thebindbrief.com. We respond to every request.
- Block cookies in your browser. The editorial content works without them.
